How to get here
From Krabi:
The easiest, fastest and most comfortable way to arrive is by private taxi. This takes about 2 hours from the airport and a little bit longer from Krabi Town. The last car ferry from the mainland leaves at 10pm, so you will need to leave before then. A private taxi costs 2,500 THB (for up to 6 people) and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
The second and cheapest option is to get a shared mini van. These can often be cramped and the driver often drives too fast. They will often stop for no reason to drop off or pick people up. The price is from 300 THB and can be arranged at the airport or from your hotel in Krabi.
The final option is to get the ferry from Krabi Town. This option is ok if you are spending the night in Krabi, but not if you are arriving at the airport. The price is around 400 THB per person.
From Phuket:
Again the easiest and most comfortable way to arrive is by private taxi. However, this is quite an expensive way to get here. This takes about 4/5 hours from the airport and a little bit longer from other areas in Phuket. The last car ferry from the mainland leaves at 10pm, so you will need to leave before then. A private taxi costs 4,500 THB (for up to 6 people) and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
The second and cheapest option is to get a shared mini van. These can often be cramped and the driver often drives too fast. They will often stop for no reason to drop off or pick people up. The price is from 600 THB and can be arranged at the airport or from your hotel in Phuket.
The third and fastest option is a speedboat transfer. This takes about 2,5 hours from the airport, please contact us for prices.
The final option is to get the ferry from Rassada Pier in Phuket to Saladan Pier in Koh Lanta. This can take 3 to 4 hours depending on time of the day you leave. Rassada pier is about an hours drive from the airport, so leave plenty of time if you are travelling the same day. You actually get two ferries, one from Phuket to Phi Phi, you then change boats and get another boat to Koh Lanta. The price is about 800 THB per person.
From Phi Phi:
You have two options coming from Phi Phi. You can either get the ferry which takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, or a speedboat which takes about 45 minutes. The speedboat does not run in low season, so it only operates from November to May and the price is 800 THB per person. The ferry operates all year but sometimes if the weather is bad they do not let the boats out to sea, the price is about 350 THB for a ferry from Phi Phi to Lanta.
